Oppie & Topper Club 2025
Following a fantastic year in 2024, we're excited to welcome back our young sailors for Oppie & Topper Club 2025!
With many new sailors joining last season, we're making a few changes to ensure everyone gets the most out of their time on the water. Sailors can choose to sail in their preferred boat (SailQube, Oppie, or Topper), though we recommend using the same type of boat as previous sessions, particularly in the early part of the season.
Two Groups for 2025
Group 1: Experience Building
- For children who have passed RYA Stage 1 (minimum)
- Focus on building confidence and developing skills from RYA Stage 2/3
- Sessions will prepare sailors for summer activities like Junior Week
Group 2: Race Coaching
- For sailors looking to take the next step towards racing
- Training will help build skills and confidence for those wanting to join Junior Week racing
- Each session will focus on a different racing element, so regular attendance is encouraged
Volunteering We Need Your Help!
- Rescue Boat Crew: Parent volunteers are essential to help on the rescue boats. Please sign up for a duty via the online Club Roster.
- Not a Drop-and-Run Session: Parents of young sailors must stay to help their children with rigging and launching before leaving. As with all WWSC junior events, parents must be available to return to the creek within 20 minutes if needed.
Need a Club Dinghy?
- If you need to rent a Club SailQube or Topper, you'll need to book this separately (we recommend doing this first!). To book a club dinghy you need to have had a club induction and have signed the waiver form. Please note the 2025 dates for these are the 5th and the 12th of April.
- Rental is a private arrangement, so approval is required before booking.

- Oppie & Topper Club 3 - Sunday 8th June
- Oppie & Topper Club 4 - Sunday 22nd June
- Oppie & Topper Club 5 - Sunday 13th July
- Oppie & Topper Club 6 - Sunday 27th July
