Junior Week Part 2

21st - 24 August

Once again we are splitting Junior Week into 2 parts to maximise the number of those who can experience it. Each Part will offer 4 days of fun sailing following our well-tried formula.

Part 2 of Junior Week is for our older juniors sailing Toppers and Lasers (as single-handers) and Fevas, Zests and Picos (as double-handers with a junior member friend).

Booking is not yet open.

Please do not try to book a junior onto both Part 1 and Part 2 - we are trying to give as many of our junior members as possible the chance to take part.

Junior Week is not suitable for beginners. Minimum skill level required is at least RYA Stage 1 plus the ability to sail in and out of the creek unsupported (being comfortable on all points of sail in moderate wind).

Booking instructions:

For this event 4 types of ticket are available so be careful to pick the type you want. You will need to answer all the questions labelled "required".

When describing your child's current sailing ability, please choose between the following Grades A-E:

  • A: A complete beginner (Not suitable for JW)
  • B: Can sail a simple figure-of-8 (tacking) under moderate conditions (Not suitable for JW)
  • C: Can rig and launch a single-hander and sail to East Head and back unaided in moderate conditions
  • D: A confident single-hander sailor in both moderate and stronger winds
  • E: Considerable experience sailing single-handers and/or 2-person dinghies and wants to develop these skills further

The final Box on each Form is to enable you to add any further information you think is relevant. You can leave this Box blank if you wish.
