2021 Powerboat Level 2 Course 2

This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence (ICC). The ICC is usually required if you want to hire a Powerboat abroad.

Leading to the RYA's PBL2 certificate the course focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations. It is open to members 12 years old and above. No previous boating experience is required and more experienced powerboat drivers could use it to update/improve their skills. PBL2 is a requirement for those wishing to become Dinghy Instructors.

Booking instructions:

This year we are offering 3 of these courses. For each course to be viable we need at least 2 participants so we are asking you to book on your 1st-preference date and tell us which of the other 2 dates you could make in case we need to reshuffle applications. If you want more than one place just repeat. You will only be asked to pay after the course has been confirmed.

This course runs on July 31-August 1. The other 2 dates are June 19-20 and 16-17 August.
