Junior Racing/Coaching 2020

This is the Race Coaching Course.

For this event there are 3 ticket types available depending on whether you are providing the boat or wish to rent a Club Topper or a Club SailQube (Oppie). The boat type will determine the fleet you race in. Please choose the right type and ALWAYS choose the type you want, even if it shows "Waiting List" against that type. We will reallocate capacity to match demand.

Three days designed to introduce juniors racing or improve their racing skills. This will feature a mixture of shorter and longer class races in the Harbour combined with instructor coaching on starts, boat handling, tactics, rules etc. The course will be run in either SQ/Oppies or Toppers. All training will be according to ability and subject to us having enough Juniors to make the groups viable.

Members will EITHER provide a suitable boat for each junior taking part; OR will choose to rent one of our Club boats. These comprise: 10 SailQubes and 3 Toppers (all single-handers). If you wish to use a Club boat you should select the appropriate ticket type when booking and your boat rental will be included in the price. If you are providing the boat then it must be appropriate for your child's size and ability and be in full working order with valid Third Party insurance of at least £3 million.
